Have a Ball

Spend summer with O'Connells OBM and we'll show you what we're all about, having a lot of fun in the process.

From day one, you’ll be treated as if you were starting with us as a graduate; not being told to sit in the corner and just watch, or wasting your time with mundane chores like making coffee, filing, or doing bank reconciliations.

By the end of the four week program, you’ll have completed a live client job for the current financial year, from start to finish. You’ll see our pro-active service approach, using the materials that support us to do what we do for our clients.

You’ll also sit around our management table, bouncing ideas around with the rest of us, and see first hand what it’s like to run an accounting business. Participation in our talent development program will also be an integral part of your experience with us.

We are currently looking for up to seven vacationers to join our dynamic team, beginning January 2011.

Our recruitment process begins on receipt of your application, so we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible to ensure your best chance of securing a placement.

After the vacation period, subject to vacancies, various opportunities exist in our accounting and administration teams for students who wish to work whilst completing their studies. This work is entirely optional and is generally offered to students who commit to a graduate position.

Application Essentials:

You must be in your penultimate year of a commerce/business degree, undertaking the necessary pre-requisites to satisfy the Chartered Accountants Program. You must also be a permanent resident of Australia.
